scrap along

Last week I posted about participating in the latest CAL with FreshStitches. I made my magic ball and planned to wait until at least this week to start working on my animals but over the weekend I couldn't resist working with the yarn! The CAL doesn't actually end until April 16th, so I'm finished extra early.

I decided to make Gordon the Jellyfish, I thought he would look good scrappy. And he does. I'm really glad I made the magic ball really scrappy with such random colours together. I think Scrappy Jelly looks so awesome!


I ended up with quite a bit of yarn in my magic ball leftover, so I decided to make a scrappy bird with what I had left. I'm really happy with the bird too!


He flew home too early...

I'm glad I participated in this CAL, I don't know if I ever would have made a magic ball with my scraps if this hadn't come along. Turns out I like the scrappy look! I have no idea what I'm doing with these two scrappy guys yet, I don't know if I want to list them or just pass them to my kids yet, I'm enjoying looking at them right now though.
