Sharp Crochet Hook review & giveaway! CLOSED

I was contacted to do a review of the Sharp Crochet Hook recently and I jumped at the chance! I've seen this cool hook around other blogs for quite awhile and have thought about already getting it but I just wasn't completely sure I would get a lot of use from it. After just one use, I know I'll be using this sharp crochet hook more!

If you haven't heard of the Sharp Crochet Hook before, it's a crochet hook with a hard tip that you can use to easily crochet through fabrics. Without the hook, you would need to poke holes or blanket stitch around your fabric before you can crochet the edging, with the hook you can do this all in one step! You can use it to make all kinds of projects.

I got the Sharp Crochet Hook and Pattern Book together, you can purchase the hook on its own as well. The pattern book gives a lot of different ideas and patterns to use with the sharp hook, there's a lot of fun ideas in there! You can also find more ideas and patterns at the Sharp Crochet Hook website.

I picked up some yarn, thread and a zipper from Michaels and got to work with the new hook. The hook is pretty small, so if you've never worked with thread before, it can take a bit of getting used to. This was my first time using thread, so it took me a little bit to get the hang of it. The sharp hook slides through the fabric so easily, I have to admit before using it, I was skeptical about it actually working as easily as it does. I was very excited when I found how simple it really was.

After going around the zipper with the thread, I switched to a G hook and worsted weight yarn. I made myself a bag to hold my cross stitch projects in. I made this one with a Halloween sampler in mind but I'm going to make another soon that's not holiday themed. I'll share more about the bag later this week, along with the pattern.

I'm really glad that I tried the Sharp Crochet Hook, I have so many project ideas to use it for now! If you've been on the fence about the Sharp Crochet Hook like I was, give it a try, you'll be so glad that you did.
