grannies & ripples

I've made some progress on my grannies & ripples blanket! So far there are 13 rows of ripple, there will be a 14th once I get another row of grannies completed. I'm doing a different color for each row, there's no sequence, just random colors. I'm liking how it's working out so far.

I love staring at this blanket! The colors aren't my typical colors but I love them! Here's a shot of the full thing, not an awesome picture but it shows how wide it is. It should fit nicely on a twin bed, which is good because this will probably end up as my son's blanket.

I have a few ends to weave in before I move on to the next strip of grannies. If I can find some more time to myself, hopefully I'll have the grannies attached by the end of the weekend!

Have a great weekend everyone!

  5. Wow. Those colours really do work quite well together. Also, you've convinced me to try this pattern. Also also, your carpet looks just like the one I ripped out of my house when I first moved in here 4 years ago.

  6. This project is looking pretty darn hot, let me say.

I am really drawn to the idea of combining grannies in with other stitches, and this one looks very effective.
    Great colour choices too,

    cheers
