a ta-dah(!) finally

Happy Monday! I figured I would finally share a finished baby blanket today.

baby blanket

I started this one in May of 2011! I got as far as joining all the squares and then the sewing in of the ends made me stuff it in the closet. I would peek at it once in awhile but never pick it up until one day (almost 2 weeks ago) I decided to just suck it up and finish it.

I am so glad to have finished this one, it's so pretty and so soft! I wish I were having a baby just so I could keep it! The white is Loops & Threads Snuggly Wuggly (perfect name!) and the colors are an assortment of baby yarns that I had tried to use up.

I used the Flowers in the Snow pattern and I used the same border from my daydream dory shawl, it's perfectly lacy I think.

This blanket should be making it's way into my shop soon. I need to decide whether or not to add tags to the blankets first. Do you think tags are a good idea for the blankets? I'd also love to hear of any good places to get some!

  2. How beautiful, this really is gorgeous. I don't know what you mean by tags. A price tag?

  4. Lovely! I get to the point of sewing in ends and then it goes into hibernation for a while too. :)

  7. It is the sweetest! I think using tags is a good thing, but I don't have any recommendations.

  11. That is stunning! I really love the colours you have used. I think for a baby blanket I would leave the tag off. That's if your talking about like brand tags. I keep getting told to cut them off toys and stuff for Squishy so she doesn't spend all day sucking on them.
