new year, new project

diagonale

I've started a new project for the new year! The pattern I'm using can be found here. I once attempted the box stitch but I couldn't get the hang of it. This time, it's stuck and it's such a fun pattern to work up, I'm having a hard time putting my hook down! But, I must keep on top of those ends!

diagonale

For this blanket, I'm using up as much of my Loops & Threads Impeccable Solids stash as I can. To get a decent size, I may have to buy more eventually to help it grow. I'm planning on having this blanket on the go for a good few months. I can't wait until it grows more, so I can really show you why I'm so excited about this one!

  7. Lovely pattern, I'm intrigued about how you're making a blanket out of this, are you making strips and joining together? Libby x

  8. Such a pretty stitch. Is it worked on the diagonal or do you just have it folded that way?

I too have seen the same tutorial ....
but do not have the patience to make a blanket .....
and so I made a shawl.
I have to fix the wires and then post it on my blog.
Congratulations on your choice of colors and good job.
I'll also wish you a happy New Year.

  17. This is the stitch I've been looking for! I recently was given an afghan my great aunt made. It's a cool stitch, but I couldn't figure out how she did it. Now that I've found it, I think I should definitely try it out.

Your version looks very pretty. Love all those colors.
