a bag for me

purple bag

Over the weekend, I made something for myself. This was a super quick project, only taking a few hours to complete. The pattern I used was called Skipping Stone Tote, I added this to my queue as soon as it was posted!

I used yarn I had on hand, Loops & Threads Charisma in dark purple and charcoal and I used a size 6.5 hook. I had a lot of the dark purple so that's what I used as the main color but I would have used charcoal if I had more of it! I still like how the bag turned out though, it's a comfy bag to carry.

  1. I think I like your version better than the pattern. The varied stripes are really nice and I can see myself making this bag for myself very soon! Thanks for sharing!

  2. Love the ripple look. I'm working on a crochet bag myself and have found a Linked Double Crochet stitch nice for more strength to the bag.

  8. I wonder how it would be in cotton. Or how it would work up in wool felted? Might need to be larger for that I have not done felted but that pattern would be really cute. Thanks for sharing . Where did you say the pattern is posted?
