I finished adding sections 4 & 5 to the babette last night. I love how it's coming together. I keep finding new favorite squares.
I'm doing this blanket in sections like the pattern suggests. And instead of sewing all the squares together, I'm slip stitching them together. I don't feel like using a needle too much, I use it enough to weave in all the ends and there are less chances to stab myself this way! (I've got a few wounds already) The slip stitching doesn't make the back look too neat but I'm not all that concerned with it, as long as I'm happy with the front.
That is absolutely GORGEOUS! I love it!
ReplyDeleteI love this. How it is growing and so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!! I love all the colors. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's growing! This is really cute. My favorite square is the big one in the middle...
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool blanket. Can't wait to see more.
ReplyDeleteOh, my, I've never seen crochet squares put together quite like that, and I love it! I've been thinking about keeping a "background" granny square project to start using up leftovers, and this might be the ticket!
ReplyDeleteWowee! Love the blanket!
ReplyDeleteLovely! I started the Babette blanket last week as well.
ReplyDeletewow this looks fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI love the look of these squares put together. You said you slip stitched them, would you mind sharing a picture? I think I would like the look. The front is beautiful.
