friday favorites?

We're going to pretend it's still Friday for this post, okay? Yesterday, I felt pretty blah and didn't do a whole lot, including getting a post ready. Today's a different story, it snowed more last night and it's feeling a lot more Christmas-y around here! We have a tree up already, gasp! I don't usually like to do that before the girls' birthdays but I gave in this year, I'm liking Christmas this year.

So, I'm sharing some favorite wreaths from my Christmas pinterest board. I need to make a new wreath for our door this year but I don't know which to make, I really would like to make all of these!

I actually bought all the felt for this one already, so it will end up somewhere around here.

I bought a couple boxes of crayons on sale especially for this project! I'm going to hang it in the area where the kids color (or where they are supposed to have their coloring stuff anyway).

weekend of favorites

Today I'll be sharing post I've liked or shared from my google reader. I used to be a bloglines user but when they announced it was shutting down in 2010, I reluctantly moved to google reader. I was very against it. Now, I don't know why! Google reader is a really awesome way to read your blogs and there's so many ways to save your favorite posts, google reader is one of the first sites I visit when I get online now.

Check out this Kaleidoscope blanket from Le Monde De Sucrette, she even shares exactly how she made the blanket! I love the joining method so much that I've started one of my own!

I love, love, love this pegboard cross-stitch from Danielle Thompson! This is a project I really cannot wait to make for myself.

The Nester is going to be hosting a DIY Wreath Linky Party on Sept. 5th, I have a wreath that I'm thinking of making for my son's birthday coming up, so I will be sharing it then!

I'm sharing some recent flickr favorites! A little crochet, a little embroidery, it's all pretty. That first image is a 2012 calendar from September House (the magnets are from there as well!), she has a very cute shop. I bought two of her calendars last year but never actually got around to stitching them, I plan to get some for next calendar year also but I will stitch them!
