I love this blanket! It was really fun to crochet and easy too! It's living on my couch now, I just can't help but stare at it every so often, it's so pretty.
The pineapples make me so happy, I love pineapple crochet! I'm so glad that I finally have done a piece with pineapples. I think I will be making this blanket again!
I used Bernat Waverly in gypsy gold to make this and a 6.5 size hook, it took just under 3 skeins in total, not bad at all for a super pretty blanket.

ReplyDeleteIt is gorgeous! Honestly, this blows my mind, since I am such a crochet novice. The color is perfect!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen anything like that! Lovely!

ReplyDeleteGorgeous!!! I just bought this pattern. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, that is so fabulous!
ReplyDeleteYour work of art is too beautiful, I would frame it and put it on the wall with a whole lot of similar masterpieces, it fits in very well with the shabby chic decor look that my kids love.
ReplyDeleteI'm crocheting my kids little mauve cell phone pouches with white roses on for their new Tracfone LG800G smart phones to protect their touch screens as the phones cost me $50 ea. I'm only paying $6/month for 40 min. of talk time for each kid, quite the bargain.
I've got the book club girls wanting nook covers which would be a fun project using bright colors and lots of roses. I haven't seen anyone crochet butterflies have you guys?
Casey, this is gorgeous! Great choice in color. Love-love-love!!!

ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty! I love the color you picked! I recently stumbled across Lisa's blog - and oh my goodness!!! I love her stuff! I finished the Willow blanket a week or so ago and started on this Glory pattern - and I love it! I found your site via hers and love your work, too! Your afghans inspired me and I love the color stripe you put in your willow! I want to try that next also! I made the glory in the teal on her website and now I want a gold one like this one you just did! Thanks for the heads up on the yarn/color you used! I hope I can find some of this!!!!!
