baby sunny spread

Remember the circles I shared a few weeks ago? Well, it's finished! I finished this blanket last week.

I used the Sunny Spread pattern from Crochet Today. This one is a baby blanket, so I made it 5 by 5 squares, it's a good baby size. I used up some of my left over babette yarn to make this, I used pumpkin, aqua, grass, soft taupe, soft fern and chocolate (all Loops & Threads Impeccable Solids) I think the chocolate looks really good to border all the circles. While making this, I found that I had a lot of the chocolate yarn in my baskets! I really like that color.

To join the squares I used this invisible seam method (video). I really like the method and will probably use it again.

This was a fun blanket to make, I want to make another one someday, only bigger.

    I just started the same pattern! I'm making it in all white for my brothers wedding blanket....I think it will be much bigger!

    It looks brilliant! I've never seen a blanket like this before... you should really make another - perhaps you should make one for your neighbour or for a raffle for the local school - give you a chance to make another!

    That turned out great! That is one of the patterns I have torn out and put in my make one day folder. I have a girlfriend that is pregnant maybe I should make her one of those once we find out if she is having a boy or girl. Thanks for the invisible seam link.

    Love that you chose to use a dark color for joining ... most people seem to use whites and creams and I think the darker color really makes the brights stand out better.
