Day Two: Skill + 1UP
Look back over your last year of projects and compare where you are in terms of skill and knowledge of your craft to this time last year. Have you learned any new skills or forms of knitting/crochet (can you crochet cable stitches now where you didn’t even know such things existed last year? Have you recently put a foot in the tiled world of entrelac? Had you even picked up a pair of needles or crochet hook this time last year?
I don't known if I'm that far off from where I was last year with my crochet, I'm still learning new techniques. I think I find the learning much easier than I did last year, I was still new to crochet and getting my stitches right was still difficult. .
A year ago, I was just starting to like blankets, especially baby blankets.
And small projects.
I still like baby blankets, actually blankets of all kind. I've got a couple baby blankets to work on this year soon and I've got my babette still going.
And I still like small projects, especially potholders.
I hope that as the years keep coming, I keep on learning more about crochet.
Ohh, I am jealous of your Babette! I love the colors you chose! I have been wanting to make one for a few years now but I won't let myself start it until I finish another blanket I began a couple of years ago (and it seems I will never finish it!)
ReplyDeleteWhat do you want to try next?
Love the projects that you've shared here. I think the work that you're doing with brighter colors now is amazing!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love the colorful afghan! Your color choices are great. I'm very new at crochet (less than 1 year), but I'm like you, I hope the years keep coming to learn more!
ReplyDeleteThat babette is insane! Your work is so lovely!
ReplyDeleteYour projects look great! Happy Crocheting! :)
ReplyDeleteThe babette is amazing! I love the colors :)
ReplyDeleteLove the babette - this has been on my to do list forever.
ReplyDeleteSo much wonderful crochet on 2CBW! I'm inspired..
ReplyDeleteyour color baby blanket is absolutely fantastic.
ReplyDeleteAhhh... the babette...
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful and they all make me smile!
It's so much fun learning, playing with new yarns and stitches and the more you do the more comfortable you get. The one thing I love is that I almost immediately know if I am going to want to pursue a pattern or not by just reading through it....saves loads of time.
