Last week I said I had something cute to share, so here it is! I made these to make bath time just a bit more fun. I really love these guys, they're just too adorable. I made three of them, two girls and a boy, so my kids each get one of their own.
I got the pattern here, they're called Foamies. I used a size H(5mm) hook instead of the D(3.25mm) suggested, so they turned out pretty big, they're each 6.5 inches. I used a yarn I haven't used before, Cottontots. They have fun names for the colors, I used blueberry, sunshine, lovely lilac and strawberry. To stuff these guys, I used some old cut up t-shirts, that way they can be tossed into the wash easily.

Darling--wow, great idea to use t-shirts!
ReplyDeleteThese are so cute! These would make great stocking stuffers for Christmas. I'm definitely going to "Hook IT" on Ravelry and make some.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great gift this would make for a new mom (unique and adorable!)-- Plus, as a fan of repurposing myself, I LOVE how you've used scrapped tshirts for the stuffing. SO clever!

ReplyDeleteDisprin is a dissolvable painkiller that turns into a drink, better than swallowing pills except it tastes like shit!!!!! I learned from an old boss that it is the best way ever to ward off colds, to gargle is and it really is! I think I missed out on my moment though! Hope you feel better soon!
