When I first found the pattern, I thought I might make it a potholder but it turned out much too big. So, I decided to make it into a bowl instead. To make it, I used a glue/water mixture. I thought I would give it a try and see if I liked it better than the sugar I used for the first doily bowl I made. It looks good but it is extremely flimsy, so I'll be fixing it with the sugar mixture eventually.

heart doily bowl
Last week, I wanted to put things aside to make a quick little project. I found this pattern, Hearts Desire Doily and hooked it up. It's a fun, fast pattern to make!

ReplyDeleteWow--what a great idea! I will have to add a crocheted bowl to my ongoing list of things I want to make. Sugar mixture, huh? Sounds too good to be true! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI find thread tough to work with but admire those who do. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteI have heard the sugar starch attracts ants? I bought some powdered starch the other day and tested on some thick lace - it worked well (mixed with some water)
