It was my sister's birthday on Friday and she asked me to make her potholders as a present. So, I did. I made two vintage kitchen trivets from the book Crochet Adorned. I used lavender and mod green for the fronts and both backs are in pale yellow.
For my 40th birthday, I asked for only handmade gifts. The potholders you made for your sister are great! In fact, you've been whipping up lots of fun projects. Dishcloths are easy and fast! Folks around here can't believe I would crochet something so pretty just for cleaning. I have a friend who uses them like doilies rather than dishcloths. I love what you did with your grandmother's doily! Who know you could use sugar syrup as a stiffener ???!!! Hope you are having a great day. Tammy
I bet those were your sister's favorite gifts. Lovely job.
ReplyDeleteThey are gorgeous! Love the colors. I can see these hanging on a wall just as well as being useful under a hot pot.
