African Flower Dishcloth pattern

tangerine dishcloth

Start by making the African Flower hexagon. The tutorial here explains how to crochet it really well! The only change you need to make is at the round after your sc's, instead of doing dc's in the full stitch, dc only in the back loops.

Now to start the textured dishcloth:
Slip stitch to the ch1 sp, ch 4 (counts as dc+ch1 sp), dc in same sp, *(fpdc next stitch, bpdc next stitch)repeat to corner, dc,ch1,dc in ch1 sp* repeat until you get back to the starting ch4, slip stitch to the 3rd ch

repeat for 3 rows (or more if you'd like a bigger cloth)

finishing: sc in each st, 3sc in each corner space.

I really hope that makes sense, it's a very easy pattern to make. If any of it doesn't make sense or you can see an easier way to write it out, let me know!

For those that don't know how to do the front post and back post double crochet stitches (fpdc & bpdc), this youtube video shows you how to do both of them. They're easy stitches, so don't be scared off by them!

If you make one of these dishcloths let me know, I'd love to see them.
