A Tale of Two Yarns // 2KCBWDAY1

Day One: A Tale of Two Yarns.
Part of any fibre enthusiast’s hobby is an appreciation of yarn. Choose two yarns that you have either used, are in your stash or which you yearn after and capture what it is you love or loathe about them.

If you've been to my blog before, then you probably won't be surprised by what my favorite yarn is. Cotton, specifically Bernat Handicrafter cottons. I'm open to trying others of course, but that's the brand that's available here. I use cotton pretty much all of the time, I use it to make my potholders, which is what I make most out of crochet.

1. potholder swap 2011, 2. black hexagon potholder, 3. Untitled, 4. rose potholder, 5. granny mandala potholder, 6. tried to look pretty potholders, 7. pretty pot holder, 8. turtle pot holder, 9. Christmasy Grandma Potholder

A yarn that I'm not fond of is Red Heart Super Savers. It's an extremely afforable yarn but I find it to be far too itchy to use for most things. I've only used the yarn once but will probably never use it again. I used it to make this pumpkin bat, it was to supposed to just be a Halloween decoration, so I didn't mind that it was itchy.
