birthday blanket

mulberry

I made this blanket way back in November, probably the only time I've ever gotten a present done so early! It was done for my mom's birthday last week. I'm so thrilled with how it turned out, it's so lacy and beautiful! It's a really great size for a lap blanket too. Some day I will probably make one for myself too.

I used Bernat Super Value Solids in mulberry. I'm so glad I accidently went home with the color, it's gorgeous!

The pattern I used is called Anya, it's a part of this Lace Love booklet that I purchased from Lisa last year. You can get a printed copy from her shop here, the booklet is really beautiful too!

  5. It is an awesome blanket! Colour is great and the pattern too! Did you use crossed stitches to get that lace like look? :)

  7. Love it. I think it looks like a great big doily. It could also be adapted into a skirt. Purple was a perfect color for it. checking out the Ravelry page now.
