grannies & ripples

Day 07: "Materials"

I bought some Vanna's Choice yarn to make a new blanket. The colors are mustard, honey, taupe, white and aqua. I've been itching to make something with mustard for awhile!

grannies

I'm calling this blanket grannies & ripples. The pattern can be found right here for free. The pattern calls for 5 grannies and 1 half granny in the strip but I'm making mine a bit longer, so I made 8 grannies. I alternated these two squares across.

I'll have more progress to share on this one soon! And hopefully a picture of the entire thing!

  7. I'm glad to see someone else using the Vanna's Choice. It's my second favourite yarn. I think if I'm ever feeling adventurous, I'll give this afghan a go, too. The granny-ripple combination is hard to beat.
